It is with mixed emotions that I announce my departure as the head coach of the Baltimore Orioles. After much contemplation and reflection, I have decided to pursue new opportunities and challenges in my coaching career. My time with the Orioles has been nothing short of extraordinary, and it has been an honor to lead such a storied franchise.
When I first joined the Orioles organization, I was filled with excitement and determination to contribute to the team’s success. Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of working with incredibly talented players, dedicated staff members, and passionate fans. Together, we have shared both triumphs and challenges, and I am immensely proud of the progress we have made.
However, as I look to the future, I believe that it is the right time for me to take the next step in my coaching journey. I am grateful for the invaluable experiences and memories that I will forever cherish from my time with the Orioles.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Angelos family, the front office, and everyone associated with the Baltimore Orioles for their unwavering support and trust throughout my tenure. I am also immensely thankful to the players for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
