‘I do feel sorry for him’ – BBC pundit pities Leeds star who can ‘offer more’
Ross McCormack believes that if Joel Piroe is pushed up forward, he can “offer more” to Leeds United.
The former Leeds and Scotland striker argued Piroe is less effective playing at number 10 and suggested Georginio Rutter or Crysencio Summerville should switch places with the Dutchman on the field (5 October) on BBC Radio Leeds.
Piroe leads the Elland Road club in goals scored with four in the Championship this season, but McCormack feels that the team would benefit more if Piroe played in his natural position.

“I would like to see Piroe given a run up front with a number 10 behind him,” McCormack stated. Give him an opportunity and the respect he deserves, whether it’s Rutter or Summerville.
