Manchester United takeover news live Jadon Sancho ‘snubs’ loan move and Kobbie Mainoo latest

Manchester United made it five wins in their last six Premier League outings yesterday afternoon, beating Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park.

Goals either side of half-time from Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial sealed United’s most commanding league victory of the season so far. It was also their third league win on the trot, all of which have been accompanied by a clean sheet.

With form in their sails, United will be hoping to use that to their advantage when they face Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. It is a must-win game for the Reds as they look to keep their hopes of progressing to the last-16 alive.

Beyond the trip to Turkey, United then face three more league games in the space of just eight days, travelling to Newcastle United on Saturday evening before back-to-back home games against Chelsea and Bournemouth respectively. Meanwhile, United’s supporters will also be hoping to get news on Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s impending investment this week, with the deal understood to be edging closer and closer towards completion.
