Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana hand Manchester United double injury concern

Several Man United players are currently away on international duty but Erik ten Hag will be concerned to see both Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana substituted.

Manchester United look to have suffered yet more injury misery with both Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana forced off on international duty.

Onana started in goal for Cameroon’s World Cup qualifying match against Mauritius. The Reds shot-stopper lasted 81 minutes but was also forced off with an injury, the nature of which is not known.

Gareth Southgate and Cameroon manager Rigobert Song are yet to comment on the injuries suffered by their respective players. Both will likely provide an update before their second game of this November international break.

United have endured a torrid few months with regards to injuries, with Erik ten Hag losing several of his regular first-team choices. Danish duo Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen were both forced to withdraw from international duty after picking ip injuries in the 1-0 win over Luton Town before the break.

Eriksen is expected to be out for the rest of the month with a knee issue, while Hojlund will hope to be fit in time for next weekend’s trip to Everton after suffering a minor hamstring strain. Jonny Evans, Casemiro and Luke Shaw are also recovering from muscular issues, while Lisandro Martinez will be out until the new year with a recurrence of the foot injury picked up last season.

United still have another week until they return to action with that Premier League trip to Everton, who were deducted 10 points on Friday after being found guilty of breaching the Premier League’s Financial Fair Play regulations. Ten Hag’s side then have a massive midweek Champions League trip to Galatasaray, which they realistically need to win in order to keep alive their hopes of progressing.
