Ladies and gentlemen, peace and love to you all. It is with a mix of emotions that I stand before you today to announce my farewell tour. This journey has been one filled with love, music, and incredible memories that have shaped my life in ways I could never have imagined.
When I first started playing the drums, little did I know that it would lead me to become part of the greatest band in the world. The Beatles changed my life and the lives of millions around the globe. Together, we wrote songs that became anthems for a generation. We traveled the world, experienced the heights of fame, and shared moments that will forever be etched in my heart.
After the Beatles, I embarked on a solo career that allowed me to explore my own musical voice. From “Photograph” to “It Don’t Come Easy,” I poured my soul into each song, hoping to connect with all of you through the universal language of music.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with some of the most talented artists and musicians in the industry. From George Harrison and Paul McCartney to collaborators like Elton John and Eric Clapton, each experience has been a gift that has enriched my life beyond measure.
As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude for the love and support you have shown me over the years. Your passion for music has been the driving force behind everything I have done, and for that, I am eternally thankful.
However, as much as I have loved every moment on stage, the time has come for me to say goodbye. This farewell tour is not just a conclusion to a chapter in my life but a celebration of the incredible journey we have taken together. It is a chance for me to thank each and every one of you personally for your unwavering support throughout the years.
I want this tour to be a celebration of music, love, and the power of coming together through song. It will be a chance for me to revisit some of my favorite cities and venues, to share stories and memories, and to create new moments that we will cherish forever.
I know this decision may come as a surprise to some of you, but please know that it is not a decision I have made lightly. After much soul-searching and reflection, I have come to realize that now is the right time for me to step back from touring and focus on other aspects of my life.
Music will always be a part of who I am, and I will continue to create and share my passion with the world in whatever form that takes. Whether it’s recording new music, collaborating with other artists, or simply enjoying the magic of a quiet moment with my family, music will always be my guiding light.
