I am thrilled to announce that Matt Williams has returned to the Arizona Diamondbacks as our new head coach! As many of you know, Matt is no stranger to our organization, having previously served as our third baseman and later as a coach. His return marks an exciting chapter in our team’s history.
Matt’s passion for the game, combined with his leadership skills and deep understanding of baseball, make him the perfect fit to lead our team forward. During his playing career, he was a key member of the Diamondbacks’ 2001 World Series championship team, and he has since gained valuable coaching experience both in the majors and abroad.
