It is with a heavy heart that I write to you today to announce that I will be leaving the Boston Bruins organization. My time here has been nothing short of incredible, and it is not easy for me to say goodbye to the team, the city, and most importantly, to you, the fans who have supported me every step of the way.
When I first arrived in Boston, I was just a young kid with big dreams. The Bruins took a chance on me, and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to wear the black and gold. From my first game at the TD Garden to every goal scored and every victory celebrated, I have cherished every moment wearing the spoked B.
However, after much consideration and reflection, I have come to the difficult decision that it is time for me to move on to the next chapter of my career. This decision was not made lightly, but I believe it is the right one for me and my future in the game.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone in the Bruins organization – from the front office staff to my coaches and teammates. You have all played a significant role in shaping me both as a player and as a person, and I will carry the lessons I have learned here with me wherever I go.
To the fans, words cannot express how much your unwavering support has meant to me over the years. Whether it was a sell-out crowd at the Garden or hearing your chants on the road, your passion for this team is unmatched. You have made Boston feel like home to me, and I will always hold a special place in my heart for this city and its fans.
As I embark on this new journey, I want to assure you that I will never forget my time as a Boston Bruin. The memories I have made here will stay with me forever, and I will always be proud to have been a part of this storied franchise.
Thank you, Boston, for everything. I will miss you more than words can say.
Forever grateful,
David Pastrnak
