Impossible: Casemiro will miss Manchester United’s matches for the rest of the season

AP/MANCHESTER, England Due to an injury, Manchester United’s midfielder Casemiro will miss Saturday’s Premier League matchup with Sheffield United, the team announced on Thursday.

The Brazil international has been playing for his national side in World Cup qualifying matches against Venezuela and Uruguay while recovering in his native country from what has been called a “small issue.”

United stated that the club’s recommendation “to recover as swiftly as possible” was the basis for the decision to remain in Brazil.

Casemiro had a rough start to the season and was substituted out of United’s 3-2 Champions League loss to Galatasaray at the beginning of the month after giving up a penalty. Then, in the 2-1 victory over Brentford, he was replaced at halfway after a mistake by him gave Mathias Jensen the lead.
