Man United dealt Marcos Leonardo blow as Brazilians camp provide update

Marcos Leonardo’s camp have provided an update on the forward’s future amid reported interest from Manchester United, among others.

Erik ten Hag’s side are looking for a new centre-forward to try and allow Rasmus Hojlund to rest as the Danish forward has featured perhaps more than he thought he would have when he joined the club in August.

An update has been provided about the future of Marcos Leonardo and it looks to be bad news for United.

According to Goal Brasil, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are favourites to sign the striker but United and Arsenal, who have been linked to the forward, are said to not be interested in the Brazilian.

Journalist Thiago Fernandes claims that ‘all parties’ deny that there’s interest from the Gunners and Red Devils in the striker.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are said to have ‘continued their interest’, as well as AS Roma. The story also claims that Real Madrid made ‘only a consultation’
