Manchester United Women’s quest for glory in the Continental Tyres League Cup continues on Wednesday evening against rivals Liverpool.

Both teams are looking to win the competition for the first time, with the Reds aiming to build on the thumping 7-0 win over Liverpool’s Merseyside neighbours Everton in our first Group B match earlier this month.


Marc Skinner’s side – who are fourth in the Women’s Super League – will be hoping to bounce back immediately from Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to City in a historic first WSL Manchester derby at Old Trafford, which ended our unbeaten domestic start to the season.
