Taylor Swift surpasses Barbra Streisand to set the record for the most number one albums by a woman.

Currently, Taylor Swift holds the record for the most number one albums among female artists in history.

Entertainer Pop Queen’s album became her 12th number-one album when it debuted at the top of the Billboard charts, surpassing Barbra Streisand’s record for the most among women. Both Jay-Z and the Beatles have more than a dozen number one albums among male musicians; nevertheless, Billboard has noted that it has modified their album ranking methodology over the years to take anthologies into account.

According to the organisation, Swift, 33, is also the first live performer in over 60 years to have four albums in the top 10 simultaneously. Midnights, Lover, and Folklore are a few of them. According to Billboard, Swift is now the first active musician to have 11 albums simultaneously chart in the top 200.

Swift is shattering records while performing many of her greatest hits for an enthralled audience on the “Eras” tour. Beginning in March, the 106-date stadium performance series has the potential to become the first tour to earn a billion dollars.

2010 saw the initial release of Speak Now. Swift promised to rerecord her first six albums so that she could be in charge of their rights; in November 2020, she was given permission under her contract to start this process. Additionally, she recorded Fearless and Red again.

With the release of her tenth studio album, Midnights, in October of last year, Swift became the first artist in history to concurrently take the top ten slots on the US song chart.
